Hear, O God, my prayer, and despise not my supplication: be attentive to me, and hear me. Psalm. I am grieved in my exercise; and am troubled at the voice of the enemy, and at the tribulation of the sinner.
Collect of the Day
We beseech thee, O Lord, that the fasts of this holy observance may procure us an increase of piety in our lives, and the continual help of thy mercy. Through our Lord, &c.
