I have cried, for thou, O God, hast heard me: O incline thine ear and hear my words: keep me, O Lord, as the apple of thy eye: protect me under the shadow of thy wings. Psalm. Hear, O Lord, my justice: attend to my prayer.

Graciously hear us, O Almighty and merciful God; and favourably grant to us the gifts of wholesome self-denial. Through, &c.
