Introit
Shew me, O Lord, a token for good; that they who hate me may see, and be confounded: because thou, O Lord, hast helped me, and comforted me. Psalm. Bow down thy ear, O Lord, and hear me: for I am needy and poor.
Collect of the Day
Look down on our fasts, we beseech thee, O Lord, with merciful favour; that as we abstain from food in body, so we may fast from vice in mind. Through our Lord, &c.
